Process
Background
In the past the tracking of creative work was done over email, spreadsheets and many meetings. As projects are growing in size, amount and people, more mistakes were being made and overall efficiency suffered.
Approach
To develop a central hub that supports all aspects of the asset production journey. To make it comprehensive in data and use cases, so that it can replace all existing tools and processes.
Discovery: user interviews and platform requirements
Based on user interviews I identified four core user needs: stay informed, prevent errors, do work, get better. Further to ensure adoption and retention I defined five key experience pillars, it needs to be: human, personal, efficient, useful and forgiving.
Production: design, test and deliver
Through multiple work sessions we collaborated with tech and business stakeholder to lay out a roadmap with user-value-informed releases based on tech feasibility. My design team would iterate concepts and test with intended end-users, creating a design system with components to support collaborations with the development team.
Outcome
The Hub is still saving time, avoiding errors and improving relationships.
